A Successful Treatment Journey: From Brain Surgery to Coronary Artery Stent Surgery in a 77-Year-Old Patient

A 77-Year-Old Grandmother’s Successful Journey Through Brain and Heart Treatment 🍀

A 77-year-old grandmother underwent an MRI after experiencing dizziness. The scan revealed a slightly over 1 cm mass in the suprasellar region of the brain. As the mass was also causing slight compression of the optic chiasm, the area where the optic nerves cross, surgical treatment was recommended.

🍀 On March 27, she successfully underwent endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery (Endoscopic Transsphenoidal Surgery), a minimally invasive procedure performed through the nose using an endoscope, under the care of Dr. Theerachai, Neurosurgery Specialist at Phyathai 3 Hospital.

✨ The most reassuring news was that the pathology examination revealed the mass to be a benign cystic lesion, with no evidence of cancer.

♦️ In addition, during the pre-operative evaluation, the doctors discovered that she also had coronary artery disease.

🍀 Therefore, on May 9, she underwent a successful PCI to the LAD (Left Anterior Descending artery) with stent placement to treat the blockage in the coronary artery. The procedure was performed by Dr. Suchai, Cardiologist at Phyathai 3 Hospital.

🍀 We, the Phyathai 3 Hospital Myanmar Office (Pan Asia Medical) family, are truly delighted and proud that this grandmother placed her trust in Phyathai 3 Hospital and successfully received treatment for both a major brain surgery and a significant coronary artery condition.

💚 Seeing her beautiful smile as she returned home healthy and well is truly the greatest joy and reward for all of us. 🥰 :::
